Front cover reproduced by kind permission of Revitalise(see inside for article) and we hope that you think as lovely and positive a photo as we do.

Deadline for the September - December 2020 Edition is 16 July 2020.

Thank you for your continued support, it is hugely appreciated.

NoW ... now - Coronavirus Update, May 2020

Networks of Wellbeing is delighted to be able to continue to offer services and support to the community in these challenging times.

We have been able to attract funding to allow us to deliver Relaxation groups (one which is suitable for those who are less mobile, and one for the more active amongst us) and Chilling Women (aromatherapy) groups each week.  Each of these groups is run by a qualified yoga teacher and aromatherapist.

We have also attracted funding from Cycling UK for the Bike-Shack (part of our Cycling Connections Project) to allow us to service and Repair bikes for key workers.  Our Bike-Shack is currently open one day a week only (a Wednesday) for picking up and dropping off bikes for servicing.  Booking is essential for this service and strict social distancing guidelines are in place (in line with guidance from the Scottish Government).  We are also looking for donations of bikes should you have any that you no longer use.

We continue to run a Peer Support Group which helps people keep in touch via group online chats and we have online and telephone counselling sessions available should you need something more specific.

We are working with a qualified Mindfulness practitioner and hope to be able to offer Mindfulness sessions in the near future.

On hold at the moment are both the move to the premises at West Park Street, Huntly, and our Veterans project - which has been put back to July at the earliest.

We have been working closely with primary schools in the area and have been able to send care homes some amazing paintings, drawings, photos and poems which pupils have sent in to us. Feedback from the care homes and sheltered housing units has been lovely and we are told that residents have thoroughly enjoyed the way the pupils are staying connected with them.

It has been truely wonderful to see the strength of community spirit across our area - and indeed across the country as a whole, and we are hugely appreciative of everything that key and essential workers are doing for our friends, family and loved ones, thank you one and all.

Stay safe and take care of yourselves in these challenging times.

For more information on our services please call us on 01466 793732 or contact us through our facebook pages - we would love to hear from you and our phone lines are open from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.

We are living in challenging times and advised not to leave our homes, so we thought it would be interesting to put together some links for things we can do from our living-rooms.  We hope you find something you like.

If you feel the need for some gentle and effective relaxation exercises during this challenging time then please do look at our Featured Activities page for some great links.  These exercises have been recommended by Alison Massie - a qualified Dru Yoga and meditation teacher, and also a qualified yoga therapist.

We would like to share a flavour of some of our activities with you.  The activities we run, and the people who participate, make our job so enjoyable and we thank them for the opportunities we have to create new links and promote new friendships.

If you think Counselling is something which might help you then why not contact us for more information.  There is no charge and the service is completely confidential.  Click on the poster for more information or call us on 01466 793732.

We are delighted to announce that, through the support of the Vattenfall Clashindarroch Community Fund, we are now in a position to offer the Counselling Service for the next 2 years. Our thanks to them for their support.
